JOB TITLE – Transport Team Manager

Overview:

Full time, permanent position (4 on 4 off pattern)

Daytime shift with possibility to cover night shifts on occasion for sickness and absence

40.25 hours per week

As a Transport Team Manager at Food Service Logistics, you will oversee the transport division supporting our customer Starbucks. This includes managing the drivers and activities to guarantee that we consistently meet and strive to exceed our clients' expectations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Fleet/HGV management including 26 tonne, articulated and double decker vehicles.
  • Keeping expenses under control and overseeing operational needs.
  • Ensuring the operation is fully compliant with all legislative regulations including the operator licence, driver hours, tachograph infringements and working time.
  • Manage accident and incident reporting and investigation.
  • Conduct productive, on-time performance reviews; and manage any challenging conversations with drivers.
  • Handle employee relations (ER) problems promptly, communicating with HR and your manager to guarantee effective and consistent outcomes.

Shift:

Days: 7am – 7pm / Nights: 7pm – 7am

Salary:

£40,797.93 per annum

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience with multi-drop deliveries/planning.
  • Significant experience in a managerial position within Transport or Logistics.
  • Understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics.
  • Understanding of Transport management systems.
  • Experience in investigating vehicle accidents.
  • Significant experience with conducting investigations, disciplinaries, grievance, absence reviews etc.
  • Understanding of site health and safety regulations.
  • Knowledgeable and up to date on all Transport processes.
