Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Day shift with Sickness/Holiday cover on nights)
Day Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm
Night Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am
We are looking for a proactive and organised Transport Coordinator to support the smooth running of our transport operation. In this role, you will plan routes, coordinate driver activity, and ensure our deliveries reach customers on time and in excellent condition. A key part of the role is completing full driver debriefs and maintaining high standards of customer care. You will also identify and elevate operational issues promptly to ensure the efficiency and safety of our transport service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle availability, including defect reporting, vehicle utilisation, and adherence to planned routes.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, drivers, and external partners.
- Monitor live routes, identifying and escalating any issues to the Team Manager as needed.
- Prioritise and manage your time to complete tasks within required deadlines.
- Ensure full compliance with Drivers' Hours regulations by monitoring working time and tachograph data.
What will you need to succeed?
- Experience in administration within a busy transport environment.
- Confident computer skills, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A focus on accuracy, efficiency, and delivering timely service.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
