The Role: The Sales Order Processor is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders, ensuring a seamless experience from order receipt through to fulfilment. This role is central to maintaining high service standards, requiring strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and effective communication across multiple departments including Stock, Transport, and Accounts. Full training will be provided to cover all systems and core responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing customer orders promptly and accurately using Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring all details are correct and up to date.
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer queries via phone and email, maintaining a friendly and confident manner.
- Communicating cross-functionally with the Transport, Warehouse, Stock, and Accounts teams to ensure smooth order processing and issue resolution.
- Monitoring customer order patterns and flagging significant changes in usage to the Stock team to help maintain availability.
- Supporting Account Managers by identifying potential opportunities to grow existing customer accounts.
- Maintaining internal spreadsheets and tools, ensuring all data is accurate and regularly updated.
- Assisting with general sales administration tasks and providing additional support to the wider Sales Operations Team as required.
- Applying strong communication and organisational skills to maintain high service standards while working under pressure.
- Using initiative to solve problems proactively, while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrating confidence in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
