About Us

FoodLab is a fast-growing B2B business operating in the beverage space. We partner with brands to help bring their product ideas to life and support them across ingredients, production, and supply chain execution. We are at a formative stage of growth, scaling both volume and operational complexity across multiple markets. We now operate production facilities in the UK and the US and work closely with external suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and logistics partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving start-up environment, learn quickly, and have a visible impact on the way the business scales.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Supply Chain Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our procurement, materials planning, supplier coordination, and stock management processes. This role will sit within the Supply Chain team and work closely with the Head of Supply Chain, production teams, warehouse teams, quality, finance, and logistics partners. The focus of the role is ensuring the business has the right ingredients, packaging, and materials available at the right time to support production across our UK and US operations. This would suit someone early in their supply chain career who wants to learn quickly, take ownership, and build broad experience across procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
    • Raise and track purchase orders for ingredients, packaging, and key supplies.
    • Follow up with suppliers on lead times, delivery dates, shortages, and order changes.
    • Maintain supplier information including contacts, pricing, MOQs, pack sizes, and lead times.
    • Escalate supplier delays or risks that could impact production.
  • Materials Planning & Stock Control
    • Support the Head of Supply Chain in translating production plans into material requirements.
    • Monitor stock levels and flag potential shortages early.
    • Help maintain appropriate safety stock levels for critical ingredients and packaging.
    • Support stock reconciliations, stock accuracy, and investigations into discrepancies.
  • Production & Logistics Support
    • Ensure materials are available ahead of production runs, trials, and new product launches.
    • Coordinate inbound deliveries with suppliers, couriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
    • Track shipments and communicate any changes or delays.
    • Support movement of materials between suppliers, warehouses, and production sites.
  • Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement
    • Keep purchase orders, item records, supplier data, and lead times up to date in the ERP/MRP system.
    • Maintain simple trackers and reports covering open POs, stock risks, late deliveries, and material availability.
    • Help improve purchasing processes, templates, and ways of working as the business scales.

What We Are Looking For

  • Confident using Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks, suppliers, and deadlines at the same time.
  • Clear communicator who is comfortable following up with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced start‑up environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Interest in food, drink, manufacturing, or FMCG.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in food, beverage, FMCG, hospitality, manufacturing, or logistics.
  • Exposure to ERP or MRP systems.
  • Experience raising purchase orders or coordinating suppliers.
