Technical Sales Manager (Food Ingredients) Home based, UK Salary £52,000 – £64,000 pa + Bonus An ingredients manufacturing business is seeking to appoint a Technical Sales / Business Development Manager in what is a new role, created due to the ongoing success of the business in attracting and retaining a quality portfolio of customers. The Technical Sales / Business Development Manager will work from home and will cover a customer base that extends across the UK. This role is open to both established consultative sales professionals and those with extensive technical experience (NPD/Technical) of food manufacturing, who would like to transition to a sales role and utilise their knowledge in a commercial setting. The Role * Consultative sales of Ingredients to Food Manufacturing customers within: Chilled Foods, Meats, Seafood. * Acting like a Technical Consultant by providing Technical advice and solutions, rather than just selling a commodity. * Work closely with the NPD teams on customer sites, being used as a source of knowledge around product applications and technical capabilities of products. * Work on 80% existing Accounts and 20% New business. * Focus on nurturing Accounts, building relationships, and becoming a trusted source of information to customers, offering solutions that are commercially sound and credible. * Create and maintain an up-to-date CRM system and project pipeline. …
