The Role

  • Shift Pattern: 2 Days on, 2 Nights on, 4 nights off.
  • The Quality Assurance Auditor will support technical systems in place and ensure compliance with all accreditation and current legislation.
  • This position will liaise with all departments including Production, Laboratory, Engineering, Warehouse and Process.
  • Internal audits – Clock & Video, Glass / Hard Plastic, GMP, Quality Systems, Pre-requites, Knife and Engineering Toolboxes.
  • Daily/Weekly calibration checks to be completed for - Weight, Temperature, clocks & Stopwatch, etc.
  • Routine and Annual verification tests and checks for Environmental, Allergen, Hand Swabs, Plaster and pen reject tests & Foreign Body challenges.
  • Test samples using Laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure Production adherence to document control, GMP standards, CCP Monitoring.
  • Support Laboratory Function as required including covering some of the Lab Managers duties in their absence.
  • Maintain Workplace and Hygiene standards, ensuring personnel are aware of their responsibilities around H&S, PPE, Personal Hygiene.
  • Support investigations ensuring Root Cause is determined with corrective actions put in place.
  • Support traceability exercises.
  • Involvement with CIP (Caustic and Acid).

The Person

  • Formal Food Safety Certificate.
  • Able to demonstrate competency in Internal Auditing.
  • Experience and knowledge of working within Food/Drink manufacturing processes.
  • Experience of following and monitoring Technical Standards and undertaking QA/QC duties within a Food/Drink environment.
  • A good level of computer literacy, verbal and written English skills.

This role is commutable from: Merseyside, Liverpool, Lancashire, Wigan, Haydock, St Helens, Warrington, Knowsley, Skelmersdale, Prescot, Huyton, Ormskirk, Worsley, Atherton, Leigh, Widnes.
