The Role

  • Work in a hands-on manner within a busy production environment, working closely with the Shift Manager.
  • Responsible for a small team of Hygiene Cleaners and QC’s.
  • Responsible for all plant and machinery CIP (Cleaning In Place) within a process/production environment.
  • Use knowledge of cleaning agents and COSHH to select materials for cleaning.
  • Prepare equipment by performing sterile cleaning-in-place (CIP).
  • Optimize cleaning-in-place protocols and procedures to ensure machinery is available to production.
  • Validation and Verification of Hygiene activity, including Hygiene Audits.
  • Be a key member of HACCP / VACCP teams.
  • Undertake training of the Hygiene team and QC’s.
  • Promote a Safety Culture across all production areas.
  • Apply solutions to issues such as Allergen residue, chemical residue and how to clean appropriately.

The Person

  • We are seeking an individual who has held a previous role requiring high levels of hygiene and sanitation where there has been an emphasis on CIP (Cleaning In Place).
  • Suitable individuals may come from any of the following industries: Food Manufacturing, Beverage Processing, Dairy, Brewery, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Chemical Processing.
  • Experience and understanding of the 4 T's of CIP (Turbulence, Time, Temperature, Titration).
  • This role may be suitable for a Hygiene Supervisor, Hygiene Manager, Process Supervisor or similar.

This role is commutable from: Merseyside, Liverpool, Lancashire, Wigan, Haydock, St Helens, Warrington, Knowsley, Skelmersdale, Prescot, Huyton, Ormskirk, Worsley, Atherton, Leigh, Widnes.
