OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Event Servers are adaptable and professional members of the events team, exhibiting warm hospitality and moving through service with purpose and efficiency. They have strong organisational skills and can manage guest requests across a variety of event formats, working alongside their team to deliver a seamless experience. They are responsible for being equally capable across beverage service, food service, event set up and event close down, with a good working knowledge of the food and drinks on offer, allergen awareness, and a professional approach to all aspects of event delivery.
EXPECTATIONS
The Events Bartender is expected to:

- Always adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not exclusive of; H&S policies, HR policies; employee handbook.
- To role model the company values, and bring them to life through each and every interaction.
- During periods of reduced business, to support all Hotel bar outlets where required.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of the Event Server are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:
- Event Servers are responsible for greeting and communicating warmly with all guests at an event.
- They deliver beverage and food service where applicable, assist with order processing and maintain a high standard of service throughout an event.
- They can speak clearly to the food and drinks on offer, including ingredients, allergens and presentations of dishes and drinks served.
- Event Servers assist with the set up and preparation of event spaces prior to service, ensuring that all areas are laid correctly, stations are stocked and equipment is in place.
- They take an active role in the close down of events, including clearing, cleaning and returning equipment and spaces to the required standard.
- Event Servers are adaptable across both food and beverage service, moving fluidly between roles as directed by the Captains, Head Captains or Event Operations Manager.
- They are responsible for maintaining glassware, crockery and other equipment throughout the event and assisting with any reasonable tasks as directed by business needs.
- Event Servers must be able to explain and discuss all food and beverage options on the event menu, and work collaboratively with the wider team on site to deliver a consistent and professional service to all guests.
- Follow any other reasonable requests and instructions from the Captains, Head Captains and Event Operations Manager where appropriate.
