We are seeking a proactive Business Manager to support the Executive Director in overseeing operational and commercial activity across the venue, including racedays and a variety of events. This hands-on role is ideal for someone highly organised, detail-focused and confident working across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage relationships with catering teams to ensure excellent customer experience.
- Oversee and deliver non-catering events such as self-catered weddings and venue hire bookings.
- Assist with show rounds, customer engagement and handling on-site queries.
- Lead operational setup for events and racedays alongside Operations and Catering teams.
- Provide support and occasional cover for the Hospitality & Events Manager.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, sponsors, stakeholders and contractors.
- Ensure facilities, staff and services meet high presentation and safety standards.
- Uphold company values, health & safety requirements and best practice across all site operations.
- Coordinate logistics including suppliers, security, signage, cleaning and costings for raceday and non-raceday activity.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in venue or operational management (racecourse/stadia experience desirable).
- Strong stakeholder relationship and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving ability.
- High attention to detail with a positive, team-oriented, can-do attitude.
