Job responsibilities:
- Work clinically as a nurse across all areas of care, overseeing planning, implementation, and evaluation of care to meet patients' complex and changing health needs. The care team operates 7 days a week; weekend and night work may be required.
- Provide advice to support staff and patients, particularly during endâofâlife care, ensuring all medical and nursing needs are met in line with Royal Marsden, QCS policy & care plans.
- Collaborate and liaise with multiâprofessional teams to enhance nursing and endâofâlife care delivery; negotiate patient care pathways with medical teams and arrange referrals to other services to ensure seamless service.
- Work in partnership with service users, acting as patient advocate and counsel when informed discussions may lead to choices about treatment options, quality of life issues, or preferred place of death.
- Extend scope of practice by undertaking additional training and complying with local policies to maintain competence (e.g., nonâmedical prescribing, physical assessment, psychological support).
Main duties:

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms.

Qualifications:
- Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated anatomical knowledge and understanding of patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fastâpaced healthcare environments.
- Experience as a registered nurse within a nursing home (preferred).
