The Account Manager will work closely with the Country Manager to manage and grow key accounts within the premium private label and ingredients sectors. This role will be integral to driving account growth, ensuring the efficient setup and execution of processes, and strengthening client relationships. A core aspect of this role involves utilizing industry data and trends to enhance strategic decisions, as well as optimizing third-party manufacturing dynamics in the dairy sector. The Account Manager will also lead the implementation of systems that streamline project delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, and support the seamless execution of customer projects.
Key responsibilities would include:
- Serving as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring proactive communication and a customer-first approach.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and expectations.
- Coordinating with customers to ensure product specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met.
- Supporting the Country Manager in identifying new opportunities within the premium private label dairy sector.
- Assisting in creating tailored presentations, proposals, and market analyses to meet the evolving needs of clients.
- Developing systems for tracking sales progress, opportunity pipelines, and conversion metrics, ensuring efficient follow-up and execution.
- Overseeing the end-to-end coordination of customer projects, managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
- Setting up and maintaining internal processes that ensure smooth order execution, from product development through to final delivery, including tracking milestones and ensuring operational efficiencies.
- Working with third-party manufacturers to ensure their processes align with client expectations and standards.
- Analysing industry data, market trends, and competitor insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Using data-driven insights to recommend improvements to client strategies, product offerings, and pricing models.
- Leading the internal strategic reviews of demand forecasting and pricing based on market trends and historical data.
- Collaborating with internal teams such as operations, logistics, production, and marketing to ensure seamless execution of customer initiatives.
- Setting up and optimizing systems for cross-departmental collaboration to ensure efficient project delivery to support the broader New Business Development Strategy.
- Continuously improving internal workflows and communication tools to enhance productivity and streamline project timelines.
You would possess the following:
- 3-5 years in the private label industry, account management, business development, or sales, ideally in the dairy, food, or consumer goods sector.
- Experience in UK dairy is highly preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret industry data and trends, applying this information to develop actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of third-party manufacturing dynamics, including production processes, lead times, and cost management.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
