Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity
Reporting to the GM Finance Partnering, NZ Manufacturing you will lead the finance business partnering function for the South and Lower North Island teams. This role is pivotal in providing actionable financial insights and decision support to regional general managers and NZM leadership, ensuring informed decision-making and driving financial performance in line with targets.

This role will give you the exposure to progress your career providing growth and advancement opportunities. You will need to bebased in Christchurch, with regular travel to different sites in the region to understand specific manufacturing issues and maintain key relationships.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving performance management initiatives across key cost categories.
  • Collaborating with Group procurement and operational leadership to filter key investments
  • Contributing into the commercial assessment of key transformation projects
  • Acting as a liaison between group finance and NZM senior leadership, fostering collaboration and aligning financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Leading and mentoring finance business partners in the South and Lower North Island
  • Providing high-level governance and financial review to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.

With a future focussed mindset and proven track record leading a team, you have significant experience in a finance role including Enterprise Strategy and Transformation.

As a strong strategic thinker, your commercial acumen enables you to unlock potential and seize opportunities that make a difference and create value for the business.

A natural communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills, your strong relationship and influencing skills enable you to quickly gain the trust of key stakeholders.

An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics and Accounting, and a CA/CPA qualification is essential, alongside Consulting experience withinfinancial advisory or corporate finance is preferred.
