Job Title: Head of Family Law
Location: Blackwood, with support across our Ebbw Vale office
Salary: Up to £55k per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full time

Fonseca Law was founded in 1938 by Mr Amador Fonseca, solicitor, and has been providing a wide range of legal services both in South Wales and nationally ever since. The firm has expanded somewhat since its early days but still retains the personal touch.
The firm incorporated in 2007 and became Fonsecalaw Limited, but we trade, and are still known as, Fonseca Law.

About the role:
You will manage your own caseload covering private family law, supported by an experienced and friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling divorce, separation, and financial remedy matters
- Advising on children matters, including contact and residence disputes
- Attending court hearings and case management conferences
- Providing clear, compassionate advice to clients during sensitive situations
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Reporting to the managing directors
About you:
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with experience in family law and/or care proceedings
- 5+ years PQE
- Legal Aid experience
- Children Panel membership advantageous (or willingness to work towards)
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client-care skills
- Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently
