We work with some of the fastest‑growing digital companies globally, helping them stay compliant, scale confidently, and focus on growth rather than bureaucracy.
We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to help run and strengthen the operational backbone of Fonoa’s people function. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of the employee experience, ensuring that essential people processes are delivered accurately, on time, and with care.
You’ll support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, and take ownership of core people operations, including compliance, benefits and employee data and document management. You’ll work closely with the People team and wider business, acting as a reliable, detail‑driven partner to employees and managers alike.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑moving environment, takes pride in getting the details right, and is comfortable operating with a high level of trust and confidentiality. You’ll be proactive, resourceful, and motivated by creating smooth, simple processes that enable others to do their best work.
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, covering maternity leave, and offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a growing, international technology company while gaining exposure to a broad range of people operations responsibilities.
What you will do:- Own and support end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes globally, including onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, and employee documentation.
- Act as a trusted first point of contact for employee queries related to People processes, policies, benefits, and systems.
- Maintain accurate employee data and documentation across People systems, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
- Support recurring People processes such as probation reviews, performance cycles, engagement surveys and other People initiatives.
- Contribute to improving and documenting People Operations processes as Fonoa continues to scale.
- Contribute to the management of the London office, ensuring it is well organised, welcoming, and aligned with Fonoa’s ways of working.
- Support the planning and delivery of employee events, team gatherings, and internal initiatives, both locally and company‑wide.
- Assist with People‑related internal communications, ensuring information is clear, timely, and accessible.
- Support wider People team projects as needed.
- You have proven experience in a People Operations function or as HR Generalist, or similar role, operating at an experienced specialist level.
- You have a strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle in a global, distributed environment.
- You are highly organised, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, with a collaborative and service‑oriented mindset.
- You understand the importance of treating confidential information with care and in compliance with applicable legislation.
- You are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, scaling environment and taking ownership of your work.
- You bring a proactive, pragmatic approach to People Operations, and you seek ways of improving processes while processing a high volume of transactions.
- Have experience working in a high‑growth or international tech company.
- Are familiar with People Operations systems such as HRIS, ATS, Document management tools and vendor portals.
- Have some labour law knowledge in one or more of our key markets: UK, US, Croatia.
