About FOMO
FOMO is a growing London-based business supporting the next generation of filmmakers through two brands:
- FOMO Rentals – a high-end kit rental house serving production companies, freelancers, and agencies
- FOMO House – London’s first filmmaking clubhouse: a curated membership space offering workspace, events, mentorship, and creative community
Our mission is to turbocharge the careers of filmmakers by connecting them to the people, opportunities, and resources they need to thrive.
Why FOMO?
FOMO is more than just a rental house or co-working space—it’s a movement redefining what creative support looks like. You’ll be joining a small, ambitious team at the ground level of something special.
- Collaborations with industry leaders like Canon, ARRI, Sony
- A packed programme of 2+ events per week: screenings, panels, workshops, and socials
- Access to BAFTA, BSC, and Emmy-winning mentors
- A vibrant creative space in the heart of Shoreditch
- A culture built on trust, accountability, and progress—not bureaucracy
We value people who get things done, take ownership, and bring energy to the table.
The Role
We’re looking for a Community & Partnerships Manager to take full ownership of the FOMO House member experience. You’ll run the events programme, manage relationships, coordinate mentorship, and activate brand partnerships that enhance our community. This is an in-person role based at our Shoreditch clubhouse. You’ll be the visible, reliable presence that holds the community together and keeps things moving, building energy inside the space while representing us externally with confidence and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Community & Memberships
- Be the first point of contact for members, welcoming, supporting, and retaining them
- Onboard new members and nurture meaningful connections
- Monitor engagement, identify at-risk members, and take proactive steps to retain them
- Keep the vibe strong: friendly, professional, creatively energising
- Gather testimonials, feedback, and member stories for marketing
- Events & Programming
- Plan and run 1-2 events per week (panels, screenings, workshops, socials)
- Coordinate speakers, mentors, and external guests
- Ensure everything runs smoothly; logistics, setup, atmosphere, post-event follow-up
- Capture content (or brief a freelancer) for post-event sharing
- Partnerships
- Activate and maintain brand partnerships (e.g. Canon, ARRI, industry collaborators)
- Deliver co-branded events that add value for members and partners
- Represent FOMO externally with confidence and professionalism
- Growth Support
- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive member referrals and retention
- Keep accurate records in our CRM and project tools
- Report on event performance, community engagement, and churn risks
- Accountability & Ownership
- Take responsibility for your projects—own timelines, follow through, and outcomes
- Raise issues early; don’t wait to be chased
- Be consistently punctual, prepared, and dependable
- Deliver a high standard of communication—internally and externally
What Success Looks Like After 3 Months
- Events are well-attended, smooth, and on-brand
- Members feel engaged and supported; retention is improving
- Partnerships are being activated and nurtured
- You’re reliable, autonomous, and delivering without micro-management
- You’ve earned the team’s trust as someone who makes things happen
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…
- Are a natural connector who builds relationships easily
- Thrive in fast-paced, creative environments
- Have strong organisational and planning skills—especially under pressure
- Are solutions-oriented, reliable, and not afraid to take ownership
- Love working in-person and being the hub of a community
- Have a positive, proactive attitude and value clear communication
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years in community management, events, partnerships, or membership-based environments
- Experience running and hosting events (big or small)
- Strong attention to detail and time-keeping
- Bonus: background in creative industries, film, or content production
Perks & Benefits
- EMI share options – be part of the long-term journey
- Shoreditch-based workspace in a buzzing creative hub
- Flexible working structure (WFH available when suitable)
- Opportunity to shape the future of a breakout brand
