Required: September 2025
We are seeking to appoint a part time (19.5 hours / 3 days per week), Fixed Term (1 Year) Teaching Assistant to support the Class Teachers at Riverside Primary School across the Key Stages from Foundation Stage to Year 6. This may involve working with a class or supporting a child on a more intensive basis, providing 1-1 support. You may also be required to deliver intervention programmes under the direction of the Inclusion Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide teaching support in small groups and where necessary work with individual pupils to the highest standards
- Assist the implementation of individual programmes for pupils and help monitor their progress
- Undertake specific duties identified by the class teacher
- Maintain a positive, supportive attitude within a team
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience of working with children with Autism and/or Speech and Language difficulties would be advantageous
- Understanding of children with different behavioural needs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Possess a desire to help all children achieve their best
- Have a caring nature and a deep regard for children
- Enthusiastic, energetic and adaptable
- Excellent communication skills
