Sandgate Primary School is currently looking to appoint a part-time Cleaner to ensure the school premises are kept in a clean and orderly manner. This role is for 12.50 hours per week, 3.00pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, term time plus 5 weeks holiday clean.
Role:
- Cleaning, washing and sweeping.
- Deep cleaning during school holidays.
- Emptying of litter bins, dishwashers.
- Ensuring areas are clean and tidy.
- Cleaning windows.
- Polishing and dusting where appropriate.
- Using powered equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaners, polishers) where appropriate.
NOTE: The designated areas include toilets. Duties will vary between term and closure periods. All duties must be carried out within the codes of practice of the School Health and Safety Policy.
Person Specification:

The post holder will be responsible to the School Business Manager. We can offer safeguarding training, pension scheme and a friendly place to work. The post holder has no supervisory responsibility and will have daily contact with other members of the cleaning staff.
