We’re looking for a proactive and customer‑focused Telecare Support Officer to join our Lifeline service, supporting residents to live safely and independently in their own homes. If you enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, have great communication skills, and want to make a meaningful impact, this could be the role for you.

About the Role

As a Telecare Support Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering the Lifeline service by installing, maintaining, and promoting telecare equipment to residents, professionals and community groups. Your work will directly support vulnerable people and help improve quality of life across the district.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Telecare equipment in customers’ homes.
  • Explaining equipment clearly to customers and supporting safe, confident use.
  • Managing referrals, appointments and customer records accurately and sensitively.
  • Promoting the Lifeline service to professionals, community groups and residents.
  • Contributing to service improvements, including testing and adopting new technology.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is practical, organised and passionate about delivering excellent customer service with strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information. Experience working in a telecare or similar environment is essential and you will need to have the ability to travel across the district, and Kent, in an efficient and effective manner. Above all else if you want to make a positive difference to vulnerable residents lives, working in a varied, community focused role and being part of a supportive and collaborative team, then we want to hear from you!

As a Telecare Support Officer you will be providing a frontline service, with an expectation that you will work from the Civic Centre in Folkestone throughout the week.
