An opportunity has arisen for the role of Environmental Health & Licensing Manager. The appointment will initially be offered as a six-month secondment, with a view to becoming permanent by mutual agreement.
You’ll lead our Food Safety and Health & Safety and Licensing teams, combining hands‑on operational work with responsibility for service planning, budgets and continuous improvement. Working with colleagues and partners, you’ll help deliver effective, customer‑focused services that protect our communities and meet the council’s statutory responsibilities.
You will need a degree in Environmental Health with EHORB registration, individual membership of CIEH and at least three years’ experience in a senior environmental health role. With comprehensive knowledge of relevant environmental health and licensing legislation, you’ll be a confident communicator who can build effective partnerships, support staff and drive service improvements.
