We are seeking a Customer Support Officer (Local Land Charges) to join our Customer Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in a statutory local authority service that plays a vital role in the conveyancing process and property market.

About the Role

As a Customer Support Officer (Local Land Charges), you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Local Land Charges Register and for processing property search requests accurately and within statutory timescales. Working closely with colleagues across the council, solicitors, conveyancers, residents and external organisations, you will help ensure that property transactions are supported by high-quality, reliable information. Please note that the job description covers all areas of work within the Customer Support Team; however, this post will focus primarily on Local Land Charges. This is a hybrid role, which requires a minimum office presence of one day per week in our Civic Centre offices in Folkestone. Full training will also be provided, which will require an increased office presence in the training period.

  • Has good IT skills and experience of working with databases and information systems.

  • Knowledge of Local Land Charges legislation, processes and requirements.
  • Experience with Salesforce platforms is advantageous.
