Folk Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing and ambitious organisation to recruit a Head of Reward. This is a key leadership appointment, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver a reward strategy that supports business growth, attracts and retains talent, and enhances employee engagement across the organisation.

About the Role

Reporting into the HR Director, you will lead all aspects of reward, compensation and benefits, ensuring the organisation maintains a competitive and commercially focused proposition while supporting wider people and business objectives. This role would suit an experienced reward professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery and can confidently influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a business-aligned reward strategy that supports organisational goals.
  • Lead the design, review and ongoing development of compensation frameworks and salary structures.
  • Manage annual salary review and bonus processes.
  • Evaluate and enhance employee benefits programmes to ensure competitiveness and value.
  • Provide reward analysis and market benchmarking to support business decision-making.
  • Lead pay and reward projects, including job evaluation, grading and pay transparency initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and reporting requirements, including gender pay gap reporting where applicable.
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide expert advice on reward, recognition and retention strategies.
  • Use reward data and people analytics to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external reward and benefits providers.
  • Lead and develop a small reward team, creating a high-performing and customer-focused function.

Required Skills

  • Significant experience operating in a senior reward leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation, benefits, recognition and reward principles.
  • Experience developing and implementing reward strategies within a complex organisation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide commercial insight.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence at executive level.
  • A solutions-focused approach and the ability to balance strategic and operational priorities.
