Freelance Technical Designer required to support the delivery of large-scale luxury hospitality and commercial projects, producing DD packages and technical documentation. Hybrid working offered.

Our client is currently seeking x2 Freelance Technical Designers to join the studio on an initial 6-month contract. The role will involve working primarily across high-profile hospitality and commercial residential projects, supporting the technical delivery of schemes through Detailed Design stages. The successful candidate will work closely with the project teams, producing and coordinating DD packages and technical documentation to support project delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing layouts, elevations and joinery details
  • Coordinating technical drawing packages
  • Reviewing design information
  • Liaising with consultants and suppliers
  • Ensuring documentation is delivered to programme and design intent

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience delivering hospitality or large commercial projects
  • Strong technical background and the ability to support project delivery through Detailed Design stages
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
  • Familiarity or proficiency in SketchUp would be highly advantageous
  • Experience producing technical layouts, elevations, joinery and construction packages
  • Ability to coordinate documentation across consultants, contractors and suppliers
  • Strong understanding of technical detailing and construction methodology
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively within a wider team
  • Immediate availability or short notice preferred
