A well-established design studio is seeking a Middleweight FF&E Designer to work across commercial-led projects, including Build to Rent, co-living and mixed-use schemes, with a strong focus on amenity and public-facing areas. This role suits a designer experienced in commercial or hospitality-adjacent environments, balancing creative FF&E design with practical delivery. You’ll take ownership of assigned FF&E packages from concept through to specification, coordination and installation, working closely with interiors and project teams. The role includes exposure to client presentations, supplier liaison and site involvement.
The ideal candidate will come from a commercial or hospitality-adjacent background and be confident designing FF&E with a clear understanding of cost, programme and delivery. Strong AutoCAD and Adobe CS skills are essential, alongside good knowledge of materials, finishes and bespoke furniture. Experience managing multiple packages, coordinating suppliers and contributing to client presentations is important, with the ability to support junior designers seen as a plus. An interest in the wider design industry, suppliers and emerging trends is encouraged.
The studio offers a balanced working model, including one day per week working from home, alongside a positive in-studio culture that supports learning, idea sharing and long-term progression.
