Salary: £26,000 - £34,000 DOE

Location: Farringdon, London

Working Pattern: Office-based during probation, with potential for 3-4 days per week in the office following successful completion of probation (4 months).

Folio Consult is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients for a Junior Case Handler to join a fast-growing specialist property finance brokerage. Ideal for a university graduate or someone looking to further their experience in broking or property.

If you've already gained experience working for a mortgage lender, specialist lender or brokerage, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a business that's disrupting the specialist finance market.

Working alongside experienced brokers and case handlers, you'll gain exposure to complex property finance transactions including development finance, bridging loans, commercial mortgages and specialist investment lending.

The Role

You'll support the brokerage team by ensuring finance applications progress efficiently from enquiry through to completion. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting brokers with specialist finance applications.
  • Chasing lenders, solicitors and valuers for updates.
  • Collecting and reviewing client documentation.
  • Packaging applications for submission.
  • Updating CRM systems and maintaining compliant records.
  • Providing regular updates to clients throughout the process.
  • Assisting with problem solving to keep transactions moving.

About You

Ideally, but not essentially, you'll already have experience working within a mortgage lender, specialist lender or brokerage, ideally in a case management, administration or underwriting support role. You'll also possess:

  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to prioritise a busy workload.

Experience within bridging, development finance, commercial mortgages or specialist lending would be highly advantageous but isn't essential. CeMAP is desirable but not required.
