Folgate Underwriting Agency is an established and rapidly expanding MGA, and as part of our ambitious long‑term strategy we are seeking to appoint a Compliance Officer. This is an exciting and important role for an experienced and detail‑driven Compliance Officer to join our team, reporting into the Head of Product and Development, and supporting the COO and wider board to ensure we meet FCA regulatory requirements and deliver consistently good customer outcomes.

About the Role

  • Developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks
  • Monitoring regulatory change and advising the business on impacts
  • Delivering monitoring, assurance, and internal control testing
  • Investigating incidents, breaches, complaints, and conduct issues
  • Producing MI and reports for senior management and the board
  • Supporting regulatory reporting and engagement
  • Designing and delivering compliance training
  • Providing compliance input into product governance and Consumer Duty
  • Maintaining compliance registers and documentation

About You

  • 3+ years’ experience in a compliance role within an FCA‑regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations including ICOBS, Principles for Businesses, Consumer Duty, financial crime, and data protection
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • A proactive, analytical approach and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office
