We are looking to expand our company with the addition of an office-based estimator. The ideal candidate would have a good grasp of design principles, CAD experience and be an effective communicator. The role will see the successful applicant develop their knowledge of our product to enable them to produce cutting lists, technical reference drawings and estimates for our customers. The role includes direct discussions with clients and requires the ability to understand and pass manufacturing instructions to our shop floor team.
- Assist in the preparation of quotations
- Be ideally educated to A level standard including Maths & English
- An excellent level of IT literacy - Word, Excel and Outlook
- Prior knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD programs would be an advantage
- Excellent 3D spatial awareness to aid conceptualising framework designs
- Ability to work under pressure whilst effectively prioritising and multi-tasking
- Good communication skills - able to be courteous and confident on the telephone
- Good problem solver
- Excellent attention to detail
- Interpret drawings and specifications to form quotations
Education and experience:
- Minimum of A-level or equivalent qualifications
- Subjects related to CAD, mechanical design, and technical drawing would be advantageous
- Prior experience in the exhibition and manufacturing sectors would be advantageous
Working hours and location:
- Monday-Thursday - 8.45am to 5pm
- Friday 8.45am to 4pm
- Work location is in person at the company premises in Doncaster DN4 8QG
- Suitable applicants should be able to commute to place of work
