The Role:
As Head of Marketing Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising marketing operational processes, systems and technology across the Content Creation division of Focusrite Group. You will provide a clear, collaborative operating framework that empowers our marketing teams to deliver against business objectives while maximising return on marketing investment.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
- Own the vision and roadmap for our Marketing Operations function and implement a strategy to deliver against this, ensuring there is full buy-in from key stakeholders.
- Create an effective marketing operating and governance framework that provides strategic alignment between our teams and to the wider business goals.
- Develop and manage scalable processes to ensure the efficient execution of high-quality, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Champion collaboration between brand, regional and divisional teams making sure that best practice and key learnings are shared by all teams, allowing us to progress and develop as one.
- Align expectations and provide greater consistency around the setting of annual marketing goals, strategies, plans and budgets.
- Own the process of change management within the marketing team, and represent marketing within Business Transformation programmes as needed.
- Working closely with the BI and Marketing teams, provide clear leadership for a centralised marketing dataset and data infrastructure.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of a marketing reporting suite; covering high level KPIs, full funnel campaign dashboards and tactical level reporting, to demonstrate performance against business objectives.
- Analyse and optimise our marketing performance, identifying insight that will further improve our return on marketing spend, and ensure that all marketing activity has a clear route to revenue generation.
- Deliver a simplified but scalable marketing technology stack that increases team efficiency and marketing effectiveness, ensuring widespread engagement with our tools.
- Support the Marketing Technology Manager in continually assessing the suitability of our MarTech stack against our changing requirements, optimising the efficiencies our systems bring.
- Stay abreast of emerging marketing trends, technologies, and best practices, continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance the team’s marketing efforts.
- Working with our Compliance team, ensure all our processes and practices fully comply with data protection and privacy regulations.

Skills and Experience Required:
- 8+ years in a marketing operations (or related) leadership role, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Experience implementing marketing operations across multiple business units/brands.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills.
- Highly numerate, analytical and detail-oriented, with a data-driven mindset.
- Demonstrable experience managing marketing datasets, building marketing reports, and showing outcomes/ROMI of marketing activities.
- Proven track record in delivering efficient marketing processes and frameworks.
- Successful vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in change management and stakeholder management.
- Ownership of marketing governance programs; ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Ideally, a passion for music and music technology.
