Focused Recruitment are currently seeking a number of Mechanical Assembly Operators for our client’s manufacturing plant located in the Caerphilly area.
Hours of work: Working days regular 07:30AM-16:00PM Monday-Friday with an early finish on Fridays.
Our client is an industry leader who exports products all over the UK and Europe, offering a good working environment and progression opportunities – very much considered an employer of choice within the local area.
We are seeking candidates who are comfortable using hand-held tools (both pneumatic and hydraulic, familiar with rivets/drivers/screwdrivers & air-powered nail guns).
Key Responsibilities- Perform assembly tasks using hand-held tools and systems to assemble components and subassemblies.
- Construct components from raw materials, following detailed specifications and assembly drawings to produce high-quality finished products.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Review and interpret work instructions to ensure correct assembly processes.
- Conduct checks and tests to ensure that assembled parts meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Package and secure finished products, using wrapping and banding techniques to ensure safe transport.
- Previous experience in an assembly or production environment is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Experience working to production targets, KPIs, and within tight schedules.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards within a manufacturing environment.
We are fully compliant with eligibility to work in the UK regulations, accredited by the REC, members of the ALP and have a GLA licence.
