This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering a next-generation Microsoft Fabric analytics ecosystem from the ground up.
You will own the end-to-end data architecture, integration strategy, and platform design, leading the transition from legacy Azure-based ETL and analytics workloads into a modern, scalable, and AI/ML-ready Microsoft Fabric platform. This is a strategic build-from-scratch transformation programme, not a BAU optimisation or incremental improvement role.
Key Responsibilities- Lead architecture design for a new Microsoft Fabric analytics platform
- Define and document enterprise data architecture, integrations, and standards
- Establish medallion architecture and enterprise data modelling best practices
- Assess and map the existing Azure and ETL ecosystem
- Design migration and integration strategy across multiple internal and external data sources
- Support downstream programme delivery through hands-on architecture leadership
- Work closely with offshore delivery teams, including India-based technical teams
- Act as the programme-level technical authority and senior stakeholder advisor
- Support future AI/ML and Copilot enablement initiatives
- Contribute to governance strategy, potentially including Microsoft Purview
- Facilitate architecture workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Strong Microsoft data ecosystem experience
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric
- Proven experience with:
- Medallion architecture
- Enterprise and domain data modelling
- Large-scale data integration architecture
- Analytics platform design background as:
- Data Enterprise Architect
- Senior Data Architect
- Analytics Platform Lead
- Experience delivering greenfield or enterprise platform transformation programmes
- Ability to lead and structure large technical delivery teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience leading or managing large offshore teams
- Exposure to Databricks environments would be a bonus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and modern governance tooling
