The business is a recognized leader in the provision of organized motorcycle-based activities and logistics for the general public in the UK and throughout Europe. Uniquely, we also support major motorcycle manufacturers in the provision of launch events in the UK and Europe throughout the year.
Whilst on our Euro Events, you will stay with the team at the event hotels. We have an exciting opportunity for a professional, dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to help Focused Events deliver great service to our customers and work at our premises ensuring the machines are loaded, unloaded and prepared for their next event. Along with this, you will be driving to and from Spain, Portugal and Italy, delivering and returning with our customers' machines.
Your key responsibility as part of a team will be ensuring that our manufacturer and customer machines and kit are correctly managed before and after an event. We are looking for someone who is highly organised and is able to work within a small team.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Driving duties in line with operational requirements, collection and delivery of customers' motorcycles as well as delivering to events with major motorcycle manufacturers
- Ensure processes and procedures are followed
- The processing and accuracy of paperwork for the office and operations
- Supervise and manage the receipt of customer's motorbikes and kit into the storage facility
- Vehicle presentation
- Transporter loading of Motorbikes and Kit
Experience and qualities required:
- Highly motivated and able to demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Excellent people skills as there will be regular customer interaction due to the nature of the event business
- Ability to prioritize workloads to ensure deadlines are met
- The ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Experienced within a warehouse operation
- Familiar with automotive mechanical issues
- Able and willing to work flexible hours including weekends
- You must hold a valid Class 1 driving licence
- You must have a valid CPC and Digi card
- Fork Lift Certificate is advantageous
You will be based at our premises near Horsham, but will be required to travel and work at our events in the UK and Europe. Please note as an event company there is regular weekend work. This is an exciting position and for the right candidate, there is the opportunity to progress in the company.
Salary: £35,000 starting salary per year to £37,000 per year.
