At Focus Birmingham, our volunteers play a vital role in supporting people with visual impairments and complex needs to live independently and confidently. - Telephone Befriender
What you’ll do: Make weekly phone calls to offer companionship, conversation and support to someone who may feel isolated. Time needed: Around 1–2 hours per week (flexible to suit you). Rewards: Boosted confidence, stronger communication and people skills, and a meaningful addition to your CV. “Even one call can bring connection and comfort to someone who needs it.” This is a simple but powerful way to make a genuine difference.
- Activity Volunteer – Social Group
Help facilitate social groups and activities for our service users.
