Focus Training is looking for an experienced Plumbing Trainer & Assessor to deliver bespoke programmes & apprenticeships. The successful candidate will be based in our newly developed Bristol Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess our apprentices to achieve the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician.
  • Responsible for classroom teaching as well as site assessments with learners.
  • Assess learners' portfolio of evidence and ensure they are fully prepared to sit their End Point Assessment.
  • Maintain a positive, flexible attitude and possess good IT skills as all learner portfolios are electronic.
  • Utilise good communication and motivation skills to work both one to one with learners and in groups when required.

A teaching and assessing qualification will be desirable, but not essential as full training will be given. The successful applicant will need to be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and must hold WRAS and unvented qualifications. ACS accreditation would be advantageous. Extensive Plumbing experience is required, with a minimum of 5 years on the tools. A driving license and own car are essential – Full mileage paid at 55p per mile. An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
