Focus Staff is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel job in Craig, Colorado.
Responsibilities:
- Utilises AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure the correct exam is performed, and establish rapport with patients and others.
- Instructs and communicates with patient and/or patient’s family regarding the test to be performed and assesses patient’s ability to tolerate the exam.
- Prepares patient or area for mammography procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilisation devices, moving equipment into position, and setting exposure factors.
- Adheres to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols and techniques; uses proper sterile techniques and maintains hand hygiene.
- Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation; reports issues to management or the appropriate department.
- Obtains, verifies, and maintains relevant documentation such as requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, and consent forms.
