Job Description

Senior Employee Benefits Consultant

Our client is an award-winning Certified B Corporation, Employee Benefits Consultant, and Discretionary Fund Management firm. They seek a brilliant Senior Employee Benefits Consultant to deliver a high-quality employee benefits service to an established and diverse client base.

Upon joining, you will be given an existing client portfolio to manage, ensuring excellent service delivery and identifying opportunities for growth. There is no requirement to build a portfolio from scratch. You will be pivotal in helping to exceed service level agreements, strengthen client relationships, and be a driving force for future success.

What You'll Be Doing:

You will take full responsibility for managing and developing an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring long-term relationships and revenue growth. This varied role will include:

  • Providing excellent client service, ensuring all client outcomes are met in the most appropriate way, executing governance and pre-renewal meetings in a timely fashion
  • Managing and growing relationships within your existing client portfolio, identifying opportunities to enhance services and revenue
  • Coaching and supporting newly appointed and aspiring consultants, providing opportunities to develop their skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Keeping abreast of legislative and industry changes, ensuring clients are kept informed and CPD is maintained
  • Ensuring all possible employee benefits business opportunity leads are communicated to the administration support team

Your Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Employee Benefits Consultant within the wealth industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer service mindset
  • Superb communication skills and a flair for building and developing relationships at the highest levels
  • Solid technical knowledge across all aspects of employee benefits, including Group Pensions, Automatic Enrolment, Group Risk, and Business Protection (Healthcare optional)
  • Strong understanding of relevant financial legislation, rules, and regulations
  • A friendly and warm demeanour; thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work independently, always being relatable to the client, the product, and the business
  • Ability to manage an existing portfolio of clients, formulating proposals and generating recommendations to meet their needs and ambitions
