The Opportunity? Most Wealth Management firms talk about digital transformation; our client is actually living it. We are exclusively retained by a highly innovative, scaling boutique Wealth Management firm. They have completely re-engineered their operational model, leveraging cutting-edge AI and modern tech infrastructure to strip away administrative friction. Their philosophy is simple: use the best technology in the market to buy back their advisers' time, so they can spend it where it truly matters - building human relationships with clients. As they enter their next phase of growth, they require an exceptional Managing Director to take the helm.

You will lead the firm's scale-up and M&A strategy. However, this business is fiercely protective of its culture. The technical brief is rigorous, but the cultural brief is non-negotiable: the founders will only hand the reins to a leader who naturally leads with genuine humility, kindness, and empathy.

The Role? As Managing Director, you will be the driving force behind the firm's operational excellence and strategic expansion. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Growth & M&A: Identifying, acquiring, and seamlessly integrating acquired firms into the boutique's modern operational framework.
  • Operational & Compliance Leadership: Ensuring robust, scalable processes are in place, maintaining the highest standards of FCA compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Technology Champion: Maximizing the ROI of their existing tech stack and driving adoption across the team to ensure bionic, highly efficient advice delivery.
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring: Fostering a culture of high performance rooted in kindness. You will guide, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing IFAs and support staff.

About You? You are a commercial powerhouse who understands that deep empathy and scaling a business are not mutually exclusive. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • IFA Roots: You must have lived and breathed the IFA journey. You understand the trenches of giving advice, which gives you instant credibility with the advisory team.
  • Operational & Compliance Pedigree: Deep, hands-on knowledge of the regulatory landscape and how to build compliant, efficient operational workflows.
  • M&A Track Record: Proven experience in Wealth Management Mergers & Acquisitions, from initial due diligence to post-deal cultural and tech integration.
  • Tech Fluency: You don't need to be a developer, but you must be an advocate for modern WealthTech. You understand how AI and integrated platforms change the economics of advice.
  • The Character: You have a low ego. You are kind-hearted, approachable, and build people up rather than breaking them down.

The Package? Base Salary: £100,000 - £130,000+ (Dependent on experience and track record). Bonus: Highly lucrative executive bonus linked to M&A and scale-up metrics. Wealth Creation: Potential for Equity / Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP). Standard Executive Benefits: Generous pension contribution, comprehensive private medical insurance, death in service, and a flexible, grown-up working environment.

Next Steps? If you are a modern, tech-forward leader looking for a purpose-driven boutique that values human kindness as much as commercial success, we want to hear from you.
