Focus Search and Selection have partnered with a reputable Chartered Financial Planner who is seeking an experienced Financial Planner Support to join their growing team. As a Financial Planner Support, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive administrative and technical assistance to the Financial Planners, ensuring the smooth delivery of a high-quality financial planning service to clients.
Overview
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Financial Planners and Directors, ensuring they have accurate and timely information to prepare for client meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records while ensuring all internal systems, policies, and processes are consistently followed.
- Support, mentor, and develop junior team members to enhance team performance, efficiency, and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compile accurate documentation for client review packs and other meeting materials as required.
- Liaise with product providers and third parties to obtain and deliver precise, timely information.
- Ensure all client records have a clear audit trail, with documents saved and named correctly in accordance with company standards.
- Keep Financial Planners and team members informed of case progress, escalating any issues or complaints as needed.
- Conduct weekly review meetings with Financial Planners to discuss priorities and resolve outstanding matters.
- Attend client meetings as required, presenting specific sections (e.g. cashflow analysis) when appropriate and approved by the line manager (2β3 times annually).
- Manage pre- and post-meeting processes, delegating tasks appropriately. Ensure meeting notes are distributed promptly (within two weeks) and that all actions are completed efficiently.
- Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, enabling them to contribute effectively to team and client objectives.
- Complete due diligence for all new business, following established checklists and procedures.
- Produce platform cost calculators and raise any queries with the line manager.
- Prepare suitability letter templates within IO, completing factual and plan-specific details, and drafting free-text sections where possible. Seek guidance from Lead Support or Senior Financial Planner Support where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with the Financial Planner to review and maintain appropriate cash weightings on a weekly basis.
- Ensure IO is updated regularly, maintaining accurate opportunity records in collaboration with the Financial Planner.
- Process all client instructions accurately using the correct advice flow, checklist, and IO task lists.
- Maintain and update your personal development record via the Academy App, ensuring objectives and training outcomes are recorded and current.
- Participate in projects and ad-hoc assignments to support business objectives and personal development.
