Our client, a highly respected investment firm managing over £4 billion in assets, is looking for an experienced Field Business Development Manager (FBDM) to join their growing team. They work closely with financial advisers, wealth managers, and family offices to provide innovative investment solutions, focusing on delivering stable, consistent returns.
This is a key position within the Sales & Marketing team, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with financial advisers and professional intermediaries. The focus is on increasing business levels across the fund proposition through face-to-face and virtual meetings, primarily across London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with financial advisers and investment firms.
- Represent the firm’s fund proposition, working closely with colleagues focused on tax-efficient products.
- Deliver CPD presentations to advisers, both one-to-one and in group settings.
- Present at industry events and conferences.
- Drive new business through outbound calls, meetings, and marketing campaigns.
- Become a key point of contact for financial advisers across the region.
- Implement and execute a regional business plan in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Provide high-quality client service and proactively follow up on meetings.
- Maintain accurate records on Salesforce CRM and use data to segment and prioritise key clients.
- Proven business development experience within investment management.
- Strong knowledge of investment products, particularly funds.
- Excellent relationship management and sales skills.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present to groups.
- Highly motivated, well-organised, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Industry qualifications (or working towards them) are desirable.
