We have a great role working for a well-established technology company based in Theale. Due to workload, they are seeking an additional warehouse order processor. In this role you will work with 5 other warehouse staff. Your main role will be to process orders for components, picking, packing and labelling. This will make up a good 70% of your day and the work requires strong IT skills and the ability to work on the computer a lot of the day. You will need to be diligent and have strong attention to detail whilst completing repetitive tasks. Once the orders are done you will assist in all day-to-day activities undertaken within the warehouse.
The hours of work are 9.00am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch.
Your role:
- Goods-in - receiving and booking in goods from suppliers
- Ensuring customer orders are dispatched within a timely fashion, using handheld terminals to pick and pack and using appropriate packing materials for safe transportation
- Stocktaking - using all current company procedures to ensure stock numbers are accurate for quantity, value and location
- Filing of goods-in/despatch paperwork in a tidy and logical manner
- Keeping all areas in the warehouse neat and tidy
- Assist in the processing of orders via the company's automated platform (Order Builder). This will involve unboxing products, connecting a cable to download configuration, inserting literature, accessories and then re-boxing. Labelling as necessary
- Keeping the bonded stock sheet updated with quantities accounting for daily usage of stock
- Physical dispatch of the units via courier and updating Sage too
The person:
- Excellent IT/Computer skills
- Ability to do repetitive tasks and be accurate
- Some experience of working within a warehouse environment and using warehouse equipment such as pump trucks and shrink wrapping
- Must be able to lift and carry boxes of equipment up to approximately 20Kgs each
- Good communication skills
- Good time management skills and a strong regard for timescales and punctuality
- Experience in using Sage highly useful
