Fantastic opportunity for a trainee level candidate, looking to develop a career in an electrical, service engineer bias role. The Trainee Electrical Service Engineer will join our established electrical manufacturing client in what will be a mix of office and site based, hands on work. Electrical qualifications will be paid for by the client in the future, with excellent career prospects on offer. Hours of work will be Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm. Flexibility is required for overnight stays, and the ideal candidate will be located in Essex. All site visits will be with an experienced Engineer, and whilst this candidate won’t be required to drive the company vehicle initially, the candidate will need to hold a full UK driving licence currently. It is also paramount that the candidate has good computer skills.

Duties:

  • Assist in troubleshooting end user technical product issues
  • Trained to provide remote monitoring to try to find a solution over the telephone
  • Assist with site visits to customers' homes, and commercial sites
  • Trained to diagnose, test, repair product issues remotely and at customer, client sites
  • Provide external and internal technical product training once trained and comfortable to do so
  • Liaise internally to order necessary parts to carry out servicing repairs and maintenance

Benefits:

  • National Minimum Wage - pay increases in the future once fully trained £19,500 - £23,809.50 per annum

Experience:

  • Trainee level role, no specific experience required
  • Any electrical, City & Guilds, technical experience or qualifications are beneficial
  • The desire to work in a technical, electrical bias role
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential, as customer liaison will be an essential part of the role
  • Good computer skills
