Job Description

Location: London – Charing Cross nearest tube\\nHybrid WorkingWe are seeking an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join our clients London-based team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate delivery of pension administration services, supporting and mentoring colleagues, and maintaining strong client and member relationships.\\n\\nYour role as Senior Pensions Administrator:\\n\\nCheck, authorise, and monitor work produced by team members\\n\\nTrain, mentor, and assist less experienced administrators\\n\\nEnsure scheme benefits are calculated and paid accurately in line with scheme rules and pensions legislation\\n\\nMaintain membership records and ensure database accuracy\\n\\nProvide technical information to members, clients, and third parties, both verbally and in writing\\n\\nLiaise with clients, actuaries, consultants, providers, pension payroll teams, and other stakeholders\\n\\nHandle member queries confidently via phone, email, and letter\\n\\nPrioritise workloads effectively to meet deadlines and service levels\\n\\nSupport project work as directed by the Team Leader or Manager\\n\\nEnsure compliance with ISO and AAF accreditations\\n\\nContribute to a culture of high standards, quality, and client responsiveness\\n\\nThe person:\\n\\nSolid experience working with Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.\\n\\nStrong pensions industry background with up-to-date knowledge of legislation and disclosure requirements\\n\\nSkilled in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word\\nTakes ownership, accountability, and pride in delivering high-quality work\\n\\nStrong GCSEs (Maths & English – minimum grade B/6 or equivalent)\\n\\nIdeally educated to A Level or equivalent; candidates with strong experience will also be considered.\\n\\nWillingness to study towards relevant pensions qualifications (e.g. CPC, QPA, DPC, RPC, APMI)\\n\\nDesirable:\\n\\nSome progress with professional pensions qualifications (PMI/QPA/RPC/DPC/DPA)\\n\\nBenefits:\\n\\nCompetitive salary with annual discretionary bonus.\\n\\n25 days' holiday (with buy/sell flexibility)\\n\\nPension matching, life assurance, and healthcare plans\\n\\nFlexible benefits scheme, retailer discounts, digital GP service, and employee assistance\\n\\nPaid volunteering days and opportunities to participate in community events\\n\\nGenerous referral bonuses for recommending candidates
