Hours: 36.25 hours, Monday-Friday

We are recruiting two Deputy Payroll Managers to join a well-established payroll function supporting a complex client portfolio. This is a hands-on role combining payroll delivery with people management and service oversight.

The Role

  • Support the Payroll Manager with day-to-day payroll operations and team leadership
  • Oversee service delivery, accuracy and SLA performance
  • Manage, coach and develop payroll team members
  • Act as a deputy point of contact for escalations and workflow management
  • Contribute to process improvements and ongoing projects

About You

  • Proven payroll experience (pensions experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Previous deputy, supervisory or team-lead experience
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence managing workloads and deadlines
  • Comfortable working with systems and Excel
  • Able to attend the office full-time for the first 6 months for training (hybrid thereafter, potentially sooner depending on progress)
