Kitchen Assistant We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant to support the Catering team with all aspects of catering whilst providing a friendly, efficient service to all staff and pupils. Location: Thatcham Job Type: Permanent Role Salary: £12 per hour Hours: 37.5 hours, 5 out of 7 working pattern Monday-Sunday 12PM – 8PM Term time only + 5 weeksAs the Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for: Ensuring that the dining room, servery, and salad counters are set up and maintained to the highest standards of food service and hygiene Assisting with any food preparation as directed by the management team To ensure the service counters and areas are clean ready for the next service Ensuring the crockery, cutlery, glasses are clean and well presented To work in all areas of the operation including front of house, plate, and pot wash on a rota basisThe successful candidate will have the following related skills / experience Professional yet friendly approach with strong communication skills Flexible approach to the type of work undertaken and the hours worked Previous experience of working in a similar role Ability to meet Health & Safety requirements / guidelines Ability to work unsupervised and to own initiative Due to the location, you must be a driver with your own transportFor more information, please contact Julie Harding on (phone number removed)
