Our fantastic tech client on the outskirts of Cardiff are looking to recruit a Head of IT Repair Centre to join them on a permanent basis. We are seeking an experienced manager, ideally from a Technology Repair background, to lead a growing and diverse team and oversee the daily operations of the repair centre, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to customers.
What you'll be doing:
- Team Management: Lead, motivate and manage a team of team leaders, technical repair engineers and technicians in the repair centre, providing training, support and development.
- Operations Management: Oversee the repair process from tech intake to completion and deployment; ensuring timely and accurate repairs, implementing and monitoring workflows to optimise efficiency.
- Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing enquiries, resolving complaints and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering parts, and supplies, and ensuring accurate record keeping and inventory control.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure repairs meet all standards, conducting regular quality audits and inspections.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the repair centre complies with all safety regulations and standards; conducting regular safety training with the team.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on repair centre performance to highlight key metrics for the SLT.
What we're looking for:
- Proven managerial experience within a repair centre, workshop or IT engineering setting.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to problem solve.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of repair centre processes and inventory management.
- Strong familiarity of H&S principles and standards.
- Experience with inventory management software.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary will be 50-55k depending on experience, plus excellent benefits.
- Hours: Monday to Friday; 9am-5:30pm (37.5 hours) - some overtime will be required.
