Semi-Skilled MET Technician
- Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Semi-Skilled MET Technician to join a busy and established automotive workshop.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced MET Technician looking to develop your skills further within a varied workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience working within a bodyshop, accident repair centre or similar automotive setting.
The Role
- Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work to a high standard.
- Assist with vehicle dismantling, preparation and reassembly.
- Support general body repair and vehicle preparation work.
- Undertake welding and fabrication where required.
- Assist with paint preparation and spraying when necessary.
- Work alongside other workshop staff to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Carry out any additional workshop duties as required.
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar MET or automotive role.
- Good practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim work.
- Experience within a bodyshop, workshop or accident repair environment.
- Ideally comfortable with welding, fabrication and general vehicle preparation.
- Reliable, adaptable and keen to learn new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
