We are recruiting two Deputy Payroll Managers to join a well-established payroll function supporting a complex client portfolio. This is a hands-on role combining payroll delivery with people management and service oversight.
The role:
- Support the Payroll Manager with day-to-day payroll operations and team leadership
- Oversee service delivery, accuracy and SLA performance
- Manage, coach and develop payroll team members
- Act as a deputy point of contact for escalations and workflow management
- Contribute to process improvements and ongoing projects
About you:
- Proven payroll experience (pensions experience beneficial but not essential)
- Previous deputy, supervisory or team-lead experience
- Strong attention to detail and confidence managing workloads and deadlines
- Comfortable working with systems and Excel
- Able to attend the office full-time for the first 6 months for training (hybrid thereafter, potentially sooner depending on progress)
