We are looking to recruit for an estimator to work within our clients' busy offices just outside Cardiff. The main purpose of the role is to ensure quotations and technical submissions are on time and to convert to order.

The role includes:

  • Ensuring that all key information at enquiry stage is obtained to offer the best suitable solution to the client.
  • Confidently discussing information of a technical nature with customers.
  • Looking at building designs and ensuring compliance with current regulations and industry best practice.
  • Supporting customers and colleagues to assist with resolution of technical enquiries.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Providing technical support to the external sales teams and facilitating project progression by attending project meetings on site or via Teams.

Experience and Skills:

  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of engineering principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • A mechanical/electrical or building services engineering qualification e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent, or a mathematical or science-based advanced qualification.
