Trainee Lighting Design Engineer required to join a personable, productive and welcoming team. This position is paying from £22,500, plus potential annual bonus. Working hours are Monday - Thursday, 9.00am - 5.00pm and Friday, 9.00am - 4.30pm.
Please note that whilst this is a trainee level role, and no specific work experience is required, the client is seeking a technically minded person, with a good level of educational achievement in any of the following subjects: mathematics, physics, electrical or engineering qualifications. The organisation is extremely team orientated, and they seek a dedicated, loyal team player, organised and with an excellent work ethic.
Duties:- Design & Modelling: Using CAD software such as AutoCAD and ReluxCAD to develop 2D drawings and 3D models for lighting schemes
- Technical Calculations: Performing calculations to ensure lighting designs meet standards and project specifications
- Documentation: Preparing technical reports, design specifications, and schedules
- Project Support: Assisting experienced designers with design development from concept to final delivery, including attending design meetings
- Site Visits & Training: Visiting sites to understand practical applications, attending training courses, and learning about energy-efficient technologies and electrical systems
- Up to £25,000 per annum
- Potential yearly bonus
- 20 days holiday (5 days to be held back for Christmas shutdown) - increases to 25 days

- Qualifications in engineering, lighting, electrical or a related technical field is highly desirable
- Proficiency or familiarity with CAD software, AutoCAD or ReluxCAD is desirable
- Good level of educational achievement in any of the following: mathematics, physics, electrical or engineering
- Own transport required due to office location
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of accuracy with ability to work to a deadline
- Good organisation skills and able to multi-task
- Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
- PC literate with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
