Focus Referrals is looking for an enthusiastic RVN, with a passion for providing excellent care, to join our friendly team! Previous experience of ophthalmology is not required as full training will be provided. Focus Referrals is a dedicated ophthalmology referral service, where we deliver specialist ophthalmic care from our newly renovated referral centre in Banbury.

This RVN role includes anaesthesia and patient care, placing IVs, assisting in complex ophthalmic procedures, assisting in consultations (including with our visiting cardiology specialist), administration, client communication and liaising with referring vets. In our environment, there is plenty of time to allow you to fulfil your role to a high standard. No previous experience in referral ophthalmology is required. We will support your transition into referral work amongst our friendly team. Every nursing team member has come from a general practice background.
Key facts:
- No routine weekend work or late evenings.
- Hours distributed between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
- Participation required for 1 in 5 on-call rota.
- Bonus OOH scheme and overtime paid.
- Our OOH is referral only with calls screened by the on-call vet.
- 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays + Birthday Leave
