Workday Recruitment Consultant - Focus on WD. Specialising in assisting both HCM/Financials Candidates & Clients with their Workday Recruitment.
Focus on WD are seeking a skilled Workday Senior Specialist to join a Workday customer in the heart of the city (London, UK).
£65,000 - £70,000 Base Salary plus bonus & benefits.
3 Days a week on-site in Central London required (4 days desirable).

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workday Senior Specialist to lead and optimise our clients HRIS function. This is a pivotal position for a hands-on expert who can enhance, maintain, and develop the Workday platform to meet evolving business and people objectives.
You will act as the sole in-house Workday authority, partnering closely with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and Learning teams to ensure seamless integration, functionality, and efficiency across all Workday modules.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment and enjoys translating business needs into impactful system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HRIS function, integrating Workday seamlessly with HR and Payroll processes.
- Serve as the primary in-house Workday specialist, providing expert guidance and technical solutions across all modules.
- Design, maintain, and execute the Workday roadmap to align with long-term business objectives.
- Monitor and track system updates, configuration changes, and workloads using tools such as Smartsheet.
- Ensure configurations and processes evolve with business needs, maintaining optimal performance and usability.
- Develop and enhance executive dashboards for the C-Suite and HR leadership, offering actionable analytics and insights.
- Redesign and maintain the job architecture, security model, and position management structure to drive process efficiency and data accuracy.
- Oversee and validate all security roles and group assignments, including role-based, user-based, and intersection roles.
- Implement and refine business process and domain security policies.
- Mentor and support a Workday Apprentice Analyst, fostering professional development and knowledge growth.
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, L&D, and IT to resolve issues, enhance workflows, and align priorities.
- Coordinate and execute testing cycles for Workday’s biannual releases, identifying system improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with external AMS partners to support system stability and continuous enhancement.
- Conduct data integrity audits and support compliance, ensuring consistent and accurate reporting.
About You
- Strong experience as a Workday Specialist / Senior Analyst / HRIS Lead, ideally with full ownership of a Workday environment.
- Solid understanding of Workday configuration, security, business processes, and integrations.
- Demonstrable experience in developing dashboards, reports, and analytics for leadership.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and process automation.
