Workday Finance Training & Communications Specialist

Fixed-Term Contract (until March 2027)

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Location: London (Hybrid working (ideally) 2 days per week onsite/sporadic travel if further afield.)

Overview

We are seeking a Workday Finance Training & Communications Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting a major organisational transformation for our client. This position sits at the centre of a multi-phase Workday implementation and will focus on enabling successful adoption of Finance modules across the business. You will be instrumental in ensuring colleagues feel confident and well-supported as new systems, processes and ways of working are introduced.

The Role

Working closely with the Change Management Lead, internal stakeholders and external implementation partners, you will shape and deliver an effective training and communications strategy. With Finance modules forming a key part of upcoming phases, your contribution will be critical in driving engagement, understanding and adoption across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver a comprehensive training strategy for Workday Finance, with flexibility to support wider HCM activity where required
  • Develop engaging, role‑specific learning solutions, including:
    • Instructor‑led training (both face‑to‑face and virtual)
    • E‑learning modules
    • Quick reference materials and job aids
  • Coordinate training schedules and support ongoing learning beyond go‑live
  • Create clear, engaging communications to support programme milestones, including:
    • FAQs
    • Intranet content
    • Stakeholder toolkits
    • Feedback mechanisms
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement and IT teams, alongside SMEs and implementation partners, to ensure alignment and accuracy of content
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training and communications, using insights and feedback to continuously improve delivery

About You

  • Proven experience delivering Workday training within a fast‑paced implementation environment
  • Strong understanding of Workday Finance (FINS) modules
  • Confident facilitating training sessions for diverse audiences, both in‑person and virtually
  • Skilled at simplifying complex concepts into engaging and accessible learning content
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Collaborative approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills

Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering Workday training to Finance teams and end users
  • Solid understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Ability to create a variety of engaging training materials and resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning platforms (LMS)
  • Experience with content creation tools such as Synthesia
  • Working knowledge of Workday HCM is advantageous
